"Like the mimosa, women rise with strength, adapt with resilience, and shine with the power of new beginnings" - WomenIN
The remarkable organization called WomenIN was introduced to us by Monique Barrie, where we met Candida Toccia, at the A Not So Silent Nite event revealing the 17th edition with cover stars Carlamay Sheremata and Paul Brandt to their network.
WomenIN was born out of a deep desire to empower women in every facet of their lives. Founded by Candida Tocci and co-founded by Katelyn Bullock, WomenIN emerged as a beacon of support, growth, and transformation for women across the nation.
WomenIN was more than just a not-for-profit; it was a movement rooted in the belief that women deserved spaces to share their stories, challenge perceptions, and cultivate their authentic selves. The organization’s mission was clear: to foster growth in career, relationships, adventure, learning, finances, health, spirituality, and social impact—creating a holistic approach to empowerment aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
Within this safe and nurturing environment, women found a sanctuary for courageous conversations and storytelling. They connected through online courses, webinars, conferences, and fireside chats—spaces where they could learn new skills, reflect on their journeys, and inspire one another. The organization’s initiatives aimed to equip women with the tools they needed to thrive personally and professionally, whether through leadership training, financial literacy, or self-care practices.
At the heart of WomenIN’s philosophy was the powerful mimosa flower—a symbol of resilience, strength, and new beginnings. Just as the mimosa blooms vibrantly and resiliently, WomenIN fostered authenticity and confidence, awakening the potential within each woman and celebrating their journey of empowerment.
WomenIN’s vision was to create a world where women led fulfilling, balanced lives—integrating career success with personal well-being. They envisioned reshaping social and work environments to be inclusive and supportive, ensuring women played an integral role in shaping the future of Canada and beyond.
Through strategic partnerships with educational institutions, industry experts, and businesses, WomenIN continued to build a community where women could confidently step into their full potential. Their work was driven by a passion for lasting impact—empowering women not just to succeed, but to lead meaningful, impactful lives.
And so, with every story shared, every connection made, and every woman empowered, WomenIN blossomed like the vibrant mimosa flower—strong, resilient, and full of promise—creating a brighter, more inclusive future for women everywhere.
