Amanda, our dog, just loves you. I can't believe it—she loves everyone else in the city too. So, Amanda has been featured in our magazine; she did an incredible Stampede shoot last year with Smith Builds Hat at their location with Darren Bowling, and we still love her photos. We're kind of celebrating the upcoming events, which is why she's wearing a Stampede hat.

Amanda is a publicist in town; she's Sherry Sever's publicist, among others, and she helps create content for people—not just connecting them to interviews, but more. More on Amanda: what do you have coming up this summer?

Well, thank you for that. I was worried I might have gone overboard, but that was lovely—thank you. In true my-style fashion, I absolutely love helping people. Two of the main things I have coming up are actually collaborations on an event.

It's a pre-Stampede event with Lindsay Berry from YYC Fempreneurs. We're hosting a karaoke networking event at Ducky's Pub on July 2nd, and we're super excited about it. The plan is to have a speed networking format—she calls it "speed dating," but it's more like speed networking. Every five minutes, you'll sit with another lady, get to know what she does, and see how her business might help you or someone you know. There will be karaoke, door prizes, and lots of fun. Last year was our first event, and we had a great time. There will also be line dancing, which I will lead—so it should be a lot of fun.

I kind of lead the line dancing, and being a dancer myself, I can't wait. The last event you held in the Northwest in Calgary was so fun to see—Sherry was there dancing as well. I can't wait to keep doing classes with your very talented instructor. We'll go from salsa to line dancing—why not?

It's the season of Stampede, and it's coming up quickly. Jennifer, who owns Refinery Hair Lounge, is hosting a Stampede pop-up market on July 6th. It's going to be fantastic! Her salon is gorgeous—I'm constantly blown away by how beautiful it looks. On that day, she's revamping the salon, and it will be filled with vendors, making it a fun event.

Victoria, Sherry, and I will be there—unfortunately, Raylu won't be able to join us. Something we shared during our lunch today, just chatting among ourselves, is that Amanda is like everywhere but nowhere—she's so behind the scenes and excellent at her job. She's done so well with Sherry Sever's page lately; she's winning awards, going to LA, and just supporting everyone behind the scenes. You’re just right behind her, supporting her, and I know how important it is to have someone there for you as you rise in your career.

Amanda is always open to chatting and helping others. She has a unique and interesting network in Calgary, and she's partnered with "I'm Here With." Many of the people she promotes are featured in our pages, and we want more people to realize that we want to meet you, come see you, and invite you to join our events. That's why we're promoting people today—in a fun way—to let the audience know about all the upcoming happenings in town. Keep following her, keep following me, and you'll stay updated. We want to see you there—we love you guys!

Something many people may not know about me, that I’d like to share before they meet me—whether professionally or personally—is what I truly want to do and what I’m passionate about. Honestly, I get so much satisfaction from helping others. Sometimes I get emotional talking about this because what I love most about my work is knowing that I might help someone achieve their dreams. When I see even a small part of that happening, it makes me feel incredible.

For example, I've seen a huge impact with Sherry in a short period. I’ve helped Catherine quite a bit as well. I’m absolutely in love with "I'm Here With," as you all know—I love her, and I love you too. To see "I'm Here With" expand into Beverly Hills was a real milestone for me. It felt amazing to know I helped get it there.

You know how many people in Calgary have met folks in Beverly Hills because of Victoria working with someone like Marcus De La Rosa? Marcus is fantastic. Our entire network really supports each other. Several people from Calgary, like Erin Libby and Tristan Lux (who is currently in LA and met Peter and others), have been involved. I think, wow—this network is making an impact not just locally but also for those coming and going.

Amanda has been a big part of this; she was the one who introduced us and told us it was time to get our magazine into LA. Jill, thank you for that! We look forward to future events!
